Here, the owners wanted a contemporary feel which also paid respect to the 1910 Craftsman details present in the home. Walls and finishes were removed in order to create a flow of space and merging of use. Fir brackets at supporting shelves and the mantel recall arts and crafts details, and create a sense of permanence. A built-in bar, media center and storage wall extend the fir detailing.
